Upload problem - 500 Error . (What's new)

First thing . Great application.
Now only if I could use it :-)

I have followed the instructions and done the best I can ..
But I belive my problem is with the CGI BIN.
I had it first in the public_html and had a 440 Error ..
Then I moved the files from the CGI BIN to the root CGI BIN and get now the 500 Error.
The folder is already 755 and I tried to do the command for group owner but it failed.
Maybe this is why Im still having problems not sure.

I was thinking on moving the files to the main root of the server for Apache2
Anyway besides that I looked with ssh to locate all the cgi-bin on my server and there wasnt an apache2/cgi-bin.

As you can see I have done my reading ,, just stuck.
What should I try next ..

Update

I can upload without error if I remove the Uberuploader.
So that is one problem I have to fix.

Another problem I found now , converting video.
I can upload everything fine even video FLV ..
But whne it comes to converting ..
It says uploaded but doesnt appear not even in folder.

Now one thing I noticed in my phpinfo.php .
The open_basedir = no value.
I should have it pointed to mplayer correct ??
Okay if this is what I'm suppose to do ,, where would I edit this. I tried in php5/apache2/php.ini but it didnt chnage the results. It still shows no results in the phpinfo.php.
Where should i change this ?? which file and where.

Hopefully me fixing the path , it will convert.

Please help on both of my issues

Hi fatrobby

Please check your Apache configuration under which user:group it acts when serving your site. The default in Debian is like www-data:www-data. In SuSE this meight be apache:wwwrun. And in Plesk-Envitronments this is most likely your_username:psacln/psasrv. you change user AND group with the one and the same command, just like this:

chown -R user:group cgi-bin

This way you give the cgi-bin folder and all included to the user user and group group.

I Then included my server details

Followed by this description

1 - The 500 error when uploading with UberUploader I have deactivated it to allow video uploading testing. PLease correct my error , I think it's the CGI-BIN

2 - Video conversion . I can upload audio , mp3 , and even FLV video .... just converstion doesnt work. (mpeg , mpg , avi , etc)
In the TMP folder it's empty even after I was successful in uploading .. just not file.

3 - Duration is 0:00

4 - Uploaded FLV file but has no thumbnail created

I'm going to resend to make sure you got it

The paths are all wrong . it looking all in the wrong places

File not found: doesnt even show the complete URL

I try to look at your server today. But what is weired tho is this:

Why do you have two different Mplayer/Mencoder versions installed? Plus: SVN-rUNKNOWN. This looks like a Mplayer/Mencoder from a repository - those in most cases won't do the work we need for osTube.

I tried .

I looked into removing the software and starting fresh but i'm concerned about making things worse.

Hi fatrobby

You obviously have some serious issues at your server. Beginning with different php versions / one php version and modules built for an other php version. The Mplayer error message could be a follow-up of the php error. But the last one indicated that your php installation is missing the gd extension... which may be the module which can't be load because it's not built for your php version. So please repair your PHP installation(s).
